Experience

Lullabot Inc — Chairperson of the Board & COO

I have held numerous positions at this digital agency, including Senior Technical Architect, Director of Technology, CTO, and now COO and Chairperson of the Board. I led or contributed to numerous high visibility projects like Martha Stewart, MSNBC, NYU Langone, Georgia.gov, and Georgia Public Broadcasting. I am especially proud that I was able to help shepherd the company from private ownership to becoming a 100% employee-owned company with a new employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).

Heritage Enterprises

I was CFO of this regional long term care provider for nearly 10 years, where I had oversight of all accounting and technology. I joined Heritage In the early 1980's to computerize payroll, financial operations, and medical records, all of which were completely manual at the time. The project included creating a system to transmit payroll data from timeclocks located in nursing homes all over the state to the central office via a dial up modem. At the time that was bleeding edge technology that we had to invent as we went!

My Web Sites

I created ElderWeb.com in 1995, and maintained it until I sold it in 2017. It was the first, and for a long time, only, source of long term care information on the Internet, and it won numerous early web awards and was frequently cited in national media. I also created and maintained various other sites for myself, family, and friends.

Drupal.org

Working on ElderWeb led me to Drupal.org, where I taught myself coding and web technology. I have been a part of Drupal.org since 2006. Over the years, I maintained numerous Drupal modules including the Content Construction Kit and the Date and Calendar modules for the Drupal Content Management system. Much of the work was later integrated into Drupal core as key functionality.
